Hey Reader 😊
I've been listening to a few Founders Podcast Episodes about David Ogilvy, and the man is incredible. And it's made me think...
As business owners, what would your "Super Bowl Ad" look like?
Mandatory: doing this pose in the mirror before heading into the office.
If you had to go ALL OUT, and only had one chance to convince a huge audience that they needed your business, what would you say?
Food for thought.
On a website design, this is actually a huge part of my thought process. Seeing as we only literally have less than a minute (Hubspot) to win people over with a site...
you have to treat each section as your Super Bowl Ad. One that not only looks the part, but actually creates financial interest in others to work with you.
The man himself, David Ogilvy.
“I do not regard advertising as entertainment or an art form, but as a medium of information. When I write an advertisement, I don’t want you to tell me that you find it ‘creative.’ I want you to find it so interesting that you buy the product.”
If you only have a few seconds, you want to portray a powerful and show-stopping image to that audience.
Do this by using: -A Powerful Headline that delivers an Outcome (80 percent of the results come from this)
-Strong, high-res imagery that encourages the scroll.
If you can deliver a desirable outcome and get your site visitors to engage because they learn more about you, then that would be a HOME RUN Super Bowl Ad.
I love this topic- respond to this email and let me know what your all-time favorite Super Bowl Ad is :) And get to thinking as to what that would look like on a website.
Have a great day, friend. See you here next week.
